72. The Princess & the Frog

Auntie Kellie had special event tickets to see the Princess and the Frog. So Uncle Phil watched Tyler, while Auntie Kellie, Avery, Macy and I, went out to lunch, then to see her first movie in a theater and lastly for Ice Cream. It was a great day and she really loved the movie.

Last Two weekends have been productive!

36. Reupholster ottoman - I even figured out a new way to pad it so the corners are extremely well padded. Done on 10/4/09

Part of 28. Finish decorating playroom

Part of 40. Get new counter tops, we replaced the bar top with a mantel which made it smaller since we will never actually use it as a bar.

45. Make picture tiles. I completely 100% love the way these came out!

#39 New Microwave plate is on the way

A year and a half later I finally sucked up the expense and bought a new microwave plate. It should be here Friday. Odds are now our microwave will die on Saturday.

#62 - August Crafts

Expanding on Macy's love of beading, we covered pasta noodles with glitter and made a necklace.

#62 - July Crafts

To help Macy learn her alphabet we used pipe cleaners to make each letter. I was suprised by the number of letters she could make and identify.

Inspired by Dora's World Adventure which is about giving friendship bracelets out, we made bracelets with beads.

It was a hot day and we didn't know what to do with the girls, so using pipe cleaners we made fish and fishing rods for them to go fishing. This has led to a new goal, 101 uses for pipe cleaners.

#79 - Stone Zoo, MA & York Beach, ME

7/22/09 - Went to the Stone Zoo in Stoneham, MA with Uncle Kurt. It was a nice little zoo. We got to see the bear's up very close which freaked Macy out a little bit and the otter had hiccups which was so cute to hear.

7/23/09 - Went to York's Wild Kingdom and Amusement Park. Ok, so maybe we are wearing Macy out with the zoo's. We went to the coolest Zoo ever in York Beach, Maine. It had reindeer, not like the big hairy ones that you see all the time, but the pretty ones like Santa's reindeer with the spots on thier backs and soft antlers. They were roaming free and you could pet or feed them, but Macy couldn't have cared less. All she wanted to do was run around. She refused to go on any rides except for the bumper cars, then at the very end she got her money's worth with the giant super slide which she loved and before she even got off the slide she was saying "I want to do it again and again"

#60 - Paci Fairy

In typical Macy fashion, she decided it was time for the paci fairy to come. Of course she gave me no notice at all and I'm so not ready, but like I said, in typical Macy fashion. She does things on her own time scale not mine.

The Mission: Complete 101 preset tasks in a period of 1001 days.

The Criteria: Tasks must be specific (ie. no ambiguity in the wording) with a result that is either measurable or clearly defined. Tasks must also be realistic and stretching (ie. represent some amount of work on my part).

Why 1001 Days? Many people have created lists in the past - frequently simple goals such as New Year's resolutions. The key to beating procrastination is to set a deadline that is realistic. 1001 Days (about 2.75 years) is a better period of time than a year, because it allows you several seasons to complete the tasks, which is better for organising and timing some tasks such as overseas trips or outdoor activities.

Once a task is completed it will be moved from the To Do, to the Done.
